The start of a new year is a good time to take stock of what is most important to us.
1. What are your top 5 priorities?
2. What are you doing to pursue them?
3. What gets in the way of focusing on these?
Bible verses to consider:
…Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing … And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? Luke 12:22-25
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? For what can a man give in return for his soul? Mark 8:36-37
Let each of you look not to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:4
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor. Proverbs 21:21
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Luke 12:34
